A Bronx Tale

A Bronx Tale >> https://blltly.com/2tl7SQ

A boy comes of age in an Italian-American neighborhood in the Bronx. His father gives him a piece of advice: "Nothing is more tragic than a wasted talent." A street-corner gangster gives him another piece of advice: "Nobody really cares." These pieces of advice seem contradictory, but the boy finds that they make a nice fit.

Amid the more prosaic tales of hidden infidelity or secret adoption, there are people who discovered that they are part of large and previously unknown biological families. In 2019, 20-year-old photographer Eli Baden-Lasar produced a photo essay of 31 of his half-siblings who were each conceived with sperm from the same donor. Kianni Arroyo, a restaurant worker in Orlando, went searching for the sperm donor who was her biological father and initially discovered 44 half-siblings. Ryan Kramer, who with his mother founded in 2000 the Donor Sibling Registry, which matches people conceived from the same donor, learned that he had 20 half-brothers and -sisters.

The swinging music comes from the tremendous Oscar, Grammy, and Tony Award-winning composer Alan Menken, who has scored many of Disney's iconic classics, including Beauty and The Beast, Tangled and Aladdin. Tony nominee Glen Slater wrote the lyrics, and together they bring this tale to life.

There's only one man who rules the bustling Italian-American neighbourhood of the Bronx - mob boss Sonny. When young Calogero's path unexpectedly meets Sonny's, and he witnesses Sonny carrying out a hit, Italian loyalty means Calogero refuses to name Sonny to the cops. Impressed with the Calogero's spirit, Sonny takes the young man under his wing and as he heads deeper into the world of a mobster, his father must try and wrestle him away from a life of crime before his son wastes his talent.

Palminteri wrote the show in an effort to jump-start his career. The inspiration came from his dad, who said, "The saddest thing in life is wasted talent. That was the impetus that made me write this thing."

Featuring an original doo-wop score, this is a tale about respect, loyalty, love and above all else: family. 59ce067264
